Finding the perfect audition monologue just got easier.
Hi, I'm Gabriel Davis creator of "The Monologue Genie" - a website designed to help you find great audition monologues fast.
Why did I design such a website? Because, basically, I feel your pain. Before earning my MFA in Playwriting from Carnegie Mellon School of Drama, I was an acting major and I can't begin to tell you how many hours I spent searching through monologue books for the right material.
If only finding great audition pieces had been as easy as rubbing a magic lamp. Hopefully, with me on your side to help, it can be!
There are three ways to get great audition material using this site:
- Free Monologues. I have posted a selection of my original monologues, which you may use for auditions free of charge.
- Monologue Recommendations. There are a number of monologues I recommend from plays, movies, books and more.
- Monologue Writing 101. For those interested in writing their own audition material, I provide an online tutorial on the subject.
